Solar and classic DHW version

The DHW storage cylinder is designed for use with energy recovery systems to amass a water
reserve to cope with peaks in demands. If necessary, a backup system can be used to provide additional
energy.

This device has been specifically designed to meet the production and storage needs of solar domestic hot water (collection and backup) in the service and manufacturing sectors.
There are three different types of tank available to meet all needs :

Advantages

• Inspection manhole ø 400 mm*:
– Easy maintenance
– Thermal equipment can be installed at a
later date.
• Significant hot water storage capacity meaning that peaks in demand are met.
• Particularly suited for use with solar energy recovery systems (dimensions of
nozzles, number and location).
• Can be combined with any energy recovery or production system.
• Delivered to site with pre-installed insulation (for carbon and stainless steel cylinders only) and thermal backup system (can be rapidly removed if required).
• Insulation of the bottom dished end and the manhole as standard.
• Storage of water at a constant temperature of up to 95°C (depending on the model).
• Extended warranty for stainless steel version.
• Non-standard versions are available on request (higher pressure and special dimensions).

Technical description

Carbon steel version

Tank
• Vertical carbon steel tank with 3 feet.
• Capacity from 300 to 10 000L.
• Maximum working pressure = 7 bar – Test pressure = 10 bar.
• Tappings (in accordance with the following diagram).
• ø 400 mm inspection manhole up to 4 000L(1) , ø 500 mm for
5 000 and 6 000L (ø 250 mm handhole for 300 litres).

Internal coating (WRAS approved material)
• Finished with “RC851” coating (Maximum temp = 85°C constant).
• Magnesium protection anode(s) with wear indicator.

External protection
• Anti-rust paint.

Removable thermal insulation (including the inspection manhole
and the bottom of the tank)
Fire proof rating : M1 (Euroclass B)
• High-performance mineral wool – 60 or 100 mm thick
(λ = 0,032 W/m/K – 32 kg/m3).
• Flexible PVC jacket.
Fire proof rating : M0 (Euroclass A2)
• Rockwool – 50 or 100 mm thick (λ = 0,034W/m/K – 40 kg/m)).
• Isoxal metal sheet jacket.

Options
• Accessories kit (thermometer, DN25 safety valve, DN50 drainage
valve, air vent valve).
• “RC951” finish (T-max = 95°C peak).
• Upon request : non-standard capacity, dimensions, working pressure
and tappings implantation.

Warranties (in accordance with our general conditions of sale)
• Tank = 5 years.
• Accessories = 1 year.

Stainless steel version

Tank
• Vertical stainless steel AISI 316L tank with 3 feet.
• Capacity from 500 to 6 000L.
• Maximum working pressure = 7 bar – Test pressure = 10 bar.
• Tappings (in accordance with the following diagram).
• ø 400 mm inspection manhole(1).
• Internal and external weldings, stripped and passived.
• Maximum temp. = 95°C.

Options
• Accessories kit (thermometer, DN25 safety valve, DN50 drainage
valve, air vent valve).
• Different thicknesses of insulation available.
• Upon request : non-standard capacity, dimensions, working pressure
and tappings implantation.
